As a courtesy to you, we will bill your insurance company for services at our clinic. You will be responsible for any copays due at the time of service if you have met your deductible. If you have a deductible that hasn't been met at the time of your visit, you are responsible for the cost of the visit at time of service until deductible is met. Please consult with your individual insurance policy to verify your naturopathic coverage, so that you are aware of your responsibilities. Insurance may not cover all fees, and some labs are considered investigational. We will do our best to make you aware of these non-covered fees ahead of time, so that you can choose if you'd like to go forward. Ultimately, though, it is your responsibility to understand your insurance benefits.
If you need to cancel your appointment, 24 hours’ notice is required in order to allow time to fill the empty appointment. If you do not give 24 hours’ notice, you are liable for a cancellation fee of $75. Exceptions to this policy will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Why the fee? Our doctors spend 30-60 minutes per patient. They only see 8-12 patients / day. Please respect the considerable amount of time they have set aside for you.
Visits with our providers are based on standard medical coding for evaluation and management, which involves both complexity of the case and time spent with the patient. Because of this, it is difficult to give an exact amount charged per office visit if billing insurance. If you are not using insurance for the visit, our first office visit is $234. Return office visits are generally between $90 and $168. If we are not billing insurance, there is a courtesy cash discount that we extend to you and those fees are are due at time of service. Please call the front desk for specific questions about charges.
Well-child exams, annual gynecological exams, and routine physicals are coded differently from standard office visits, and are based on the age of the patient and whether you are a new or established patient. If not using insurance, fees range anywhere from $156-$186 for established patients, $174-234 if it's your first visit. If billing insurance and there are additional concerns brought up at these preventive office visits, there will be an additional brief office visit fee.
As a courtesy to our patients, we always have a doctor on call. Call the clinic phone number for the on-call doctor's number. Please note that there is $45 fee per call.
While it is always better to see you in person, if you are unable to come into the office, you are welcome to schedule a phone consult with your provider. Fees for phone visits start at $55 for 15 minutes (not pro-rated per minute). You may ask for a length of time you think you will need or we can help guide you.
Your provider is happy to answer questions via email, but please be aware that responding to emails does take time and expertise. Unless your provider has asked you to check in with them via email, fees for emails are $25.
We ask that patients allow 48 business hours for refill requests to be processed. We often recieve urgent requests for a refill, such as forgetting to take a medication on vacation, and we do charge a fee for those requests.
Urgent request (requiring a refill <48 hours)- $35
We require all patients come in at least once / year in order to continue to get refills on medicatios. However, certain medications and conditions require more frequent visits and monitoring so your doctor may require visits every 2- 6 months in order to continue to refill your medications. That is the discretion of your doctor.
Non-urgent refill request and not overdue for a visit - free refills until you are due for your next appointment.
Non-urgent refill request and OVERDUE for an appointment - free courtesy 30 day refill.
Non-urgent refill 2nd request and OVERDUE for an appointment - $35 for 15 day refill
Non-urgent refill 3rd request and OVERDUE for an appointment - $35 for 3 days.
We do have a large high quality dispensary available to our patients for herbal, nutritional and homeopathic supplements. As a patient, you can purchase these items tax-free as they are a prescription from us. Unfortunately, insurance will not cover these supplements, but usually you can use a pre-tax health savings account (HSA) or a flexible spending account. Be sure to ask your provider for a prescription that you can send in for reimbursement. We choose the highest quality supplements to ensure that they are free of chemicals, additives and heavy metals.
